We had the pleasure of presenting our work on microbial oils as replacements for tropical oils, such as our drop-in substitute to cocoa butter.

Sun Bear Biofuture Selected for First Ever Pladis Accelerator
As the world's second largest confectionary company and owner of many well known brands, such as McVitie’s, it’s a real honour to be selected to work with Pladis on their first accelerator.
They are especially excited by the nutritional profile of our Melior oil and the potential of our cocoa butter alternative.

British Sugar collaboration
Valorising food manufacturing waste and side streams has always been part of our circular production model. We’ve worked with potato peel, bread waste and many other options.
Now we start an 18 month, Innovate UK backed, R&D project with British Sugar to explore their waste and side streams as feedstocks for our alternative fats and oils. British Sugar supplies 60% of the UK's sugar market, and this collaboration gives both parties the opportunity to bring new ingredients, waste valorisation and processes to reality.

Following great success with our scale-up process runs at AberInnovation, we are pleased to announce we have been awarded follow-on funding to continue our close working relationship with their fantastic team. Watch this space for results as we continue to innovate and scale our sustainable, microbial fats and oils.

Tech Nation Climate Showcase Pitch
60 seconds is not long to tell your entire company story, but it was a raving success at the Tech Nation Climate Showcase as part of London Climate Week.
A highlight of the programme was Ben Williams, our CTO, visiting the House of Lords to map out challenges in scaling businesses and technologies that benefit the climate, and how the government can support key transitions.

We’ve been selected for another accelerator - this time the world renowned EIT Food Accelerator Network.
We are associated with the Paris hub which focuses on ingredient innovation in the food sector. We can’t wait to discuss innovation projects with the amazing network of corporate partners including MARS, AAK, Mondelez and many more.
